Lucan United FC Celebrates Another Successful Season

I was delighted to attend Lucan United FC’s End of Season Presentation Day on Saturday, 13 June, and join players, coaches, volunteers and families in celebrating another successful year for the club.

The event recognised achievements across all age groups, from the Little Stars programme to the senior teams, and highlighted the dedication and community spirit that make Lucan United such an important part of life in Lucan.

Congratulations to Christy Moran, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, Darren Murray, Manager of the Year, Nathan Kane, Volunteer of the Year, and Katie Murphy Doyle, who was named Person of the Year.

It is an exciting time for the club, with Lucan United set to compete in the FAI National League next season, a major milestone that reflects the hard work taking place both on and off the pitch.

I was also delighted to hear about the club’s partnership with Lucan's own Irish rock band, The Riptide Movement, to launch a special fundraising jersey in support of Pieta, bringing together local sport, music and community for a very worthwhile cause.

Congratulations to everyone involved at Lucan United FC on a fantastic season, and thank you to the players, coaches, volunteers and families who continue to make the club such a valued part of our community.
