€16.4 million approved for NEW Fire Station in Clonburris, Dublin 22

Funding of €16.4 million has been allocated for the development of a new Fire Station in Clonburris as part of the states largest ever investment in fire and emergency services.

Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne TD has announced the State’s largest ever investment in fire and emergency services in the landmark €328.5 million Fire Services Capital Programme (2026–2030). Developed by the National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management which sets out a comprehensive plan to modernise Ireland’s fire service fleet, infrastructure, training capability and communication systems to meet the evolving risks facing communities across the country.

Under the Fire Services Capital Programme, €16.4 million has been allocated to the development of a new Fire Station in Clonburris for a modern fire and emergency service facilities to support continued residential growth and increased demand in the wider South Dublin.

This welcomed investment represents a significant investment in the safety, resilience and wellbeing for constituents of Dublin Mid-West. It enables a new fire service facility that is greatly required to support growing residential developments within the area. This significant investment of a fire station will reinforce public safety for the constituents of Dublin Mid-West and surrounding areas.
